Rules and guidelines for using our service

Entity: Mr. Roast LLC (“Mr. Roast,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the mobile application Mr. Roast (“App” or “Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms & Age Eligibility

By using or installing the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

If you are acting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity.

2. Description of Service

Mr. Roast is an AI-powered entertainment app that generates humorous, roast-style, and satirical content based on images or text you provide.

Important: All outputs are fictional, exaggerated, and created for entertainment and parody purposes only. They do not represent factual statements or the views of Mr. Roast LLC, its employees, or affiliates.

3. Account Registration

Certain features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activity on your account.

4. User Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of any content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting content, you grant Mr. Roast LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process that content solely to operate and improve the App.

Consent and Right of Publicity: By uploading an image, you represent and warrant that you own the rights to the image and have obtained the explicit, affirmative consent of any identifiable individuals depicted in the image to be processed by our Service. You agree not to upload images of minors (under 18), public figures, or any individual without their explicit consent.

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or defame any person
  • Upload or generate hateful, obscene, or illegal content
  • Misrepresent AI-generated material as factual statements about real people
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App

We may suspend or remove access if we determine your use violates these Terms.

5. AI Processing, Image Handling, and Biometric Data

When you upload an image or text, it is sent directly from your device to our AI provider (Gemini API) for processing.

Biometric Processing: In order to generate the Service's outputs, our AI provider may temporarily process facial geometry or other biometric identifiers from your uploaded images. By using the Service, you explicitly consent to this temporary processing.

No Data Retention:

  • •Mr. Roast LLC does not retain, store, sell, or share this biometric data or your uploaded images. They are permanently deleted following the generation of your output.
  • •If you exit before exporting a roast video, temporary data is cleared from your device's cache
  • •Rendered videos are saved locally on your device only; we never upload or store them

6. Payment Terms

Certain features require payment through Apple In-App Purchase or other secure processors. All payments are non-refundable unless required by law.

Pricing may change with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All App code, design, and branding are owned by Mr. Roast LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your own content, you may not copy or redistribute any part of the App without our consent.

8. Copyright and DMCA Takedown Policy

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted work or likeness has been used in a way that constitutes infringement or without your consent, please contact us at support@mrroast.ai with a description of the material, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Assumption of Risk

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted service, accuracy of AI output, or fitness for any purpose.

Generated roasts may be unpredictable or offensive.

Parody Waiver: You acknowledge that the Service is designed to generate satirical, exaggerated, and potentially offensive “roasts.” By using the App, you assume all risks associated with viewing this content. You explicitly waive any right to bring claims against Mr. Roast LLC for defamation, libel, slander, or intentional/negligent infliction of emotional distress arising from the AI-generated outputs.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mr. Roast LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Total liability will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mr. Roast LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your failure to obtain appropriate consent for the images you upload.

12. Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Ventura County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You waive any right to a jury trial or class action.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or harms other users or the App.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in-App or via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
